Walking in soldeu

Hi,

have not been to Andorra before and am thinking of going on a walking holiday based in Soldeu around August. We are thinking of going with Inghams.

Me and the other half are reasonably fit and enjoy a bit of hiking but not all day foot-numbing ascents.

Anyone got any experiences of walking around Soldeu, best/worst hotels in summer etc?

I have heard Andorra is a bit overdeveloped - anyone agree with that who has been there?

Thanks in advance,

Jonathan Shields

1. Re: Walking in soldeu

Hi there,

I went walking in June to Andorra and it was fine. There are plenty of walks to chose from and they are not all that difficult. I got a good book by Lonely Planet (Or Rough Guide) called 'Walking in Spain' and that had ideas in it. We stayed in Hotel le Roque de San Miguel and it was lovely, near many treks and the staff were friendly and well informed about the walking. It is fairly basic but clean and great food.

Hope this helps Jess
