1. Re: paphos

As regards Car Hire I used a local Cypriot firm who have an office in Paphos - Petsas and Sons. I booked over the web and everything was as requested including the baby seats and the free delivery to the hotel in Coral Bay. At the time I wanted the car for they were cheaper than any of the "big boys" i.e. Avis etc. We only had a group C car which was a VW polo but it was fine and we found them to be excellent. When we got to resort we found them to be much much cheaper (£100 +) than any of the tour operator ones. Their price on the web also included CDW which is often extra per day and they added my husband on as an extra driver for no extra fee which sometimes they charge extra for. Can't remember their web address but I just typed Petsas into the search engine and it found them.

Hope this helps.

Can't help with your other queries but as regards the guy from Peyia you would definately be able to find out about him at the coffee shop in Peyia which is on the main road up through the village!!!
