We've just returned from Paphos after being married there. Our opinions are:
Resort - Average - not really much at the harbour. the towns quite dead but the tourist areas ok.
Prices - Most meals and drinks were at least UK prices
Food - Nearly everything was with chips and there was more English than Cypriot food. Similar to Rhodes. I thought the food was much much more better in Turkey last year. Our wedding buffet on the Natasha and then the Poseidon Taverna were great though. Avoid the Pelcian restaurant - overpriced and the worst Fish meze we've ever had.
Hotel - Athena Beach - great, good pools and food, no problems
Wedding - We had assistance from "The Bridal Consultant" and "Cyprus Dream Weddings" - both were excellent and can be recommended. We were married at St Georges Chapel in Paphos and the priest, the service, the building and surroundings were all very special.
Care hire - Note if you try to hire a car there, it has to be for at least three days.
Tourist attractions - Most places you visit don't have much information on what you're looking at so guidebooks are handy. If you go to the Trudos mountains I woudl recommend a 4x4 as many of the roads are wet dirt tracks and very uneven over long distance.
I hope this helps anyone else!
