What is the quickest way to get to Gozo

Hi

We'll be staying at the regency plaza in a couple of weeks and would like help on the best and quickest way to get to Gozo from our hotel

I believe Arriva now operate the bus service

Do we go from Sliema Ferry or get a bus to Golden Bay and if so which one

Thank you for your help

There is no ferry from Golden Bay.

You have to catch a bus from Sliema to Cirkewa at the north of Malta and then get the ferry across to Gozo.

The crossing takes about 25 minutes and you only pay on the way back.

It all very easy.

The bus you need is the number 11 which in theory runs every 30 minutes, deparing from Sliema at 25 and 55 minutes past each hour.

However, this is the route that is having the most difficulty in keeping to time so the timetable is currently a piece of fiction - it is therefore a case of going to the bus stop and waiting for it to arrive. Be prepared for a journey that takes well over an hour !

Phil-d-bus is the expert and he is 100% correct . I would say the journey will take more than the advertised 60 minutes by bus

www.arriva.com.mt/RoutePlansPage…

You could have to wait for the ferry for up to 30 minutes and then 30 minutes to get to Gozo Mgarr !

Enjoy the tour and ferry ride

The quickest way would be more expensive , a taxi at 25 Euro to Cirkewwa , at the right time , 35 minutes and the ferry on foot 30 minutes later you are in Gozo ! 1 hour 5 minutes flat !

I am sure there is a bus stop within 3 minutes on foot , but cannot place it right now . I usually walk by there , and notice buses stopping along the front , but have never taken a bus from in front of the Plaza.

I would guess its either Dud or Ghadir, but they are confusing by name ?

Try the Pasta at the italian restaurant and the capuccino and sweets at the Caras !

Welcome to Malta

Bus stop is right outside the Regency Plaza hotel, you stay on the same side of the road as the hotel (don't cross the road) to go to Cirkewwa. Buses tend to be pretty full so you might have to wait a while or hope some people get off at your stop. set off early is my advice
