Airport transfers

Hello all

Any advice on best means of transfer from Airport to Radisson Bay Point?

Hoteltransfers.com quoted £47 for return transfer - would I be better using the local bus?

Kind regards

Forget £47 !!!!!

Try your hotel via email or just google for airport transfers.

You can taxi transfer for less than 10Lm (4 people). No need to pre book this. Go to the taxi booth at the arrival lounge and the price should be displayed. You pay at the booth and given a voucher. Go out to the cab give him your voucher and he takes you. If you want to tip it's up to you and then just give the driver what you feel the 'extra' service is worth. (usually 1-2Lm). If you don't want to tip it's no harm no foul.

I don't know companies from that area but if there are more than 4 of you and your hotel can't help try KWL and I'm sure they can do something for you.

as scuba says, it is so easy to get a taxi from the booth near the exit out of the airport. you will be at your hotel in less than 20 mins. i always email kevins taxis which is based in st andrews which is very close to the radisson. his e mail is..kevintaxis@hotmail.com he usually emails back within the day. all you need is the flight number, how many people and time and date of arrival. he is cheaper than most and very reliable. he will be waiting for you with a name plate as you get into arrivals. he is built on good reputation. price is normally 7 or 8 mtl each way..

Just to confirm , we have stayed at bay point several times and we phone the hotel for a taxi , cost is usually Lm8 about £13 , which is good value considering it costs £25 to bristol airport , and we live in bristol

The only problem is that most holiday makers initially don't want to be carting their luggage around the streets.

I have to admit the buses are fun but for transferring to a hotel with luggage they are generally rubbish. You are unable to guarantee getting on a new "King Long" type that can handle it or a 1955 AEC that really can't. It's also very difficult if it is during peak periods as there are many drivers that become very agitated if you are blocking up the aisles.

Get about during your stay on the buses but not for your transfers. Either pre-book (although there are a number of people ready to rip you off MORE than a taxi) or jump a cab at the airport. There is no rip off it's on the board what the cost is and you pay BEFORE you travel. You can pre arrange your return very easily while you are out and about.
