Is it possible to snorkel in November?

My partner and I have just booked a last-minute break in Malta and wonder if it's possible to snorkel in early November or is it too cold? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The water temperature is still around 22C, so you should be fine.

The sea temperature averages 21C in November, a weather web site reports 23C today. The sea is comfortable in November, certainly for diving. Visibility will be good since the plankton would have decreased after summer but the sea life is not rich like the red sea or Indian Ocean. Some good sites are Zurrieq and Cirkewwa.

If you like snorkelling and you haven't tried scuba diving, go for a try dive - there are quite a few good dive centres in Malta and its great fun.

Enjoy

Thanks - that's good news. Wherabouts did you snorkel, and was it safe - no speedboats etc?
