duty free allowance

Help? can someone tell me what the ciggie allowance is to bring back to the Uk from Malta. I have had several different stories. The so called Malta Specialist travel agent told me this morning you cant bring back any! Then went on the gov site and it states up to 3,200. Then was told the uk wont stop you bringing that in but Malta customs could stop you. I only see one question on the forum relating to this therefore wouldnt mind an answer from a few more people. I know I know should really just quit but in case I cant can someone help? Thanks. Hopefully, this will be our first trip to Malta staying at St Pauls Bay (Gilleru Hotel) and apparantly can walk to Bugibba gibba. I have read so so many bad hotel reviews on this site on so called 4 start hotels and I am still a bit concerned. Anyone out there disperse my fears?.Lastly, can any fellow smoker tell me the price of a pack of 20 ciggies.

As it is not duty free you can bring back as many as you want. Unfortunately UK's Gus,Tom & Heck Size deem that any more than 3200 is illegal importation and not for personal consumption.

If you are staying at the Gillieru walk along the promenade to Bugibba. As you go up the incline past Angelos Bar the road has a parking area. On the corner is a place selling cheaper than the airport and most other places. They'll probably do a deal with you too!

I don't know why I know this... I'm anti-smoking! But each to their own.
