The weather was fine in Reykjavik today. And looks great for tomorrow, in the south - east, east and north - east :-))

What do you expect in the northern most capitol in the world ? just under the arctic circle ?

20 + celsius, and sunny calm days, white beaches and hanging around the pool, with a cool drink ? That´s another volcano island, that´s Lanzarote.

The good thing about Iceland, is that if you do not like the weather, you just move to the other part of the country, or wait few minutes.

Iceland is a ,,land of elements" and it would be cheating if you didn´t experience the elements.

Lighten up, ,,bad weather" is just in your head. Dress accordingly, and you´ll love it !

On our first trip to Iceland it rained every minute of every day. Sometimes just a bit of mist and other times a pounding rain. Yes, it would have been better if we had sunshine the whole time, but we didn't and we certainly were going to the make best of a wet situation. Dress accordingly (waterproof everything) and enjoy your trip. No point in stressing over something you can't control.

We returned from Iceland on Sunday after enjoying a 4 day mini break and unfortunately the weather wasn't at its best resulting in much of the beautiful mountain scenery being obscured by low cloud and we did have a fair few showers of rain but often within minutes the clouds would break and we'd have spells of glorious sunshine so although not all of the scenery photos' are "picture perfect" I feel that the clouds did give them a rather interesting and atmospheric look - can't wait to plan a return journey in fact! Don't let the weather deter you from visiting such an interesting country - just take your water/wind proof clothing and enjoy the experience..
