We're getting very excited about our trip in November. We'd like to attend a performance of the Symphony on the Thursday evening we'll be there. I found the website (sinfonia.is) but the ticket-purchasing part of the site is not in English.

Is this something where we could just buy tickets at the box office the day of the performance (or maybe a few days before), or do we need to purchase/reserve tickets in advance? Will it sell out if we don't get our tickets now?

1. Re: Symphony?

It does depend on the specific performance.

The programme in English shown at http://sinfonia.is/default.asp?page_id=2201 is a bit different to that in Icelandic at http://sinfonia.is/default.asp?page_id=2034 Possibly they have added concerts.

You can try calling or emailing the box office if you wish. Or, if you PM me then I can email you a translation of the ticket purchase Web site and you can try buying through the Web. A quick glance does reveal that the Web site is set up only for Icelandic addresses, so you may have to use your hotel address, which might lead to a conflict with your credit card billing address, so I would suggest an email or call to them first.
