Passport necessary for US tourist?

I need to know if anything other than a passport is needed to enter Iceland. Also does the passport have to be at least 3 months from expiration date?

I think the standard passport rules apply to Iceland from US. That being no visa necessary, just a passport to get in. Not sure about the 3 month thing but I wouldn't take any chances.

For most EEC countries your passport needs to have been valid for at least 6 months but I'm not sure about the expiration date rules.
