I'll be heading to Iceland in 2 weeks time and am researching activities to do. We'll be there 10 days and planning to hire a 2WD to do the Ring Road. We're on a tight budget and only have the money for one toured activity in addition to the ring road. The Sólheimajökull Glacier Hike seems to be a popular choice and want to know more about it. Basically I've been to New Zaeland and have visited both the Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers + glacier hikes while there. I wanted to know how comparable these hikes are to the one in Iceland for anyone who's been to both. If the one in Iceland is much better and/or provides a different experience I'd like to do it but if not I'd prefer to put my money into a different activity. Any advice would be great as I can't find any information comparing the two.
