2 day/ 1 night visit.

Dear all,

I am visiting Gothenburg on 1st and 2nd Feb. I am flying into the Landvetter airport on the Saturday morning. I understand that I can get a coach/bus to the train station which is very near to my hotel. Does anyone know how frequently these run and how/when I pay - or if there is a website which will answer this for me (I did look but couldn't find a much info).

I have never been to Gothenburg before, so am looking for some recommendations on things to see/places to go please. If it makes any difference I am a lone traveller.

Many thanks in advance.

Info on the airport coaches can be found on the following site: http://www.flygbussarna.se/en/landvetter

Please note that you have to choose the correct direction of travel in the popup window.

You pay by card on the bus, but it's also possible to prepay your tickets on the web site.

Info on shuttle from Gothenburg city airport can be found here

http://www.flygbussarna.se/en/gothenburg-city

In general the departures fit with the flight arrivals.

Göteborg is pretty walkable but another really good way of seeing the city from the water is to go to Lilla Bommen (the harbour, close to the opera house) and take the commuter ferry down to Röda sten. The ferries are part of the public transport system. You can buy tickets/travel cards at 7-11 or Pressbyrån.
