Wanting to make the move to Stockholm early 2014

Just wondering if anyone can help out with some questions regarding moving to Stockholm.

Myself and two others are 21 year old guys who have just graduated from University and want to make the move to Sweden from Ireland.

What areas would you recommend for us to move into, with a good price bracket.

Somewhere busy and trendy would be cool.

And also, is there any local estate agents you guys can recommend?

To buy?

Well, Södermalm would be my recommendation, if you can afford it. If not, get something as close to the inner city as you can afford.

Basically all apartments to buy are listed at Hemnet:

http://www.hemnet.se

Write "Stockholm" or "Södermalm" in the textfield. Check the "Bostadsrätt" checkbox for apartments, Rum = rooms (not bedrooms – total no of rooms excluding kitchen), Boarea = area, pris = price, avgift = monthly fee (usually including water and heating).

Apartments in Stockholm are very expensive. Especially in the inner city.

Hello.

No not to buy, simply to lease for 1 year.

Is there any estate agents or letting agents you know of?

Apartment leasing in Stockholm is a mess. To get an apartment "the proper way" you need lots and lots of queuing time or a fat check under the table to the landlord.

Probably, subletting will be your best bet. This site provides subletting and has got some good reviews on the web:
