    getting from Stadsgarden to ABBA museum

    getting from Stadsgarden to ABBA museum

    Hi

    We will be in Stockholm on July 23rd, on Celebrity Constellation cruise ship, docking at Stadsgarden 167 at 09.00

    We want to book tickets in advance to the Abba museum

    if we disembark at about 9.30 or 10, how long will it take us to get to the museum and what is the best way? Can we take a ferry? How long walking?

    We have until 3 to get back to the ship - we sail at 4 - so we would like to walk around Gamla Stan which is fairly near.

    Any other suggestions of things we can do to ustilise our time?

    Walk from your cruise ship along the quai to Slussen and take the ferry to Djurgården from there. The Abba museum is a very short walk from the ferry dock.

    After the Abba museum, you should visit the Vasa museum next door. Maybe have lunch at Blå Porten which is next door from Abba. Then take the ferry to Nybroplan and walk from there via Old Town to Slussen. That is a 1 mile (1.6 km) walk and will give you a good idea about Stockholm.

    How long should the whole journey take? We need to know in order to correctly book our timed visit tickets

    Also can we easily get a taxi there and how long does it take? And cost?

    Walking to Slussen is 5-15 minutes depending on where your ship docks. The ferry ride is 10 minutes, waiting time for ferry between 0-15 min. I would advise against taxi, it is expensive and the ferry ride is very nice.

    So we should allow about an hour including walking time, finding the ferry port, waiting for ferry, ferry ride itself etc?
