Ostermalm Quarter for Accommodation

We are currently looking at an apartment in the Ostermalm section near Karlaplan. Is this a good area to stay for our first visit to Stockholm? The apartment, 'Blossom', (Cocoon Agency) has been reviewed on Tripadvisor.

Karlaplan is a good location, it's close to both Djurgården and the city. It's also close to public transport and it shouldn't be too hard finding restaurants etc in that neighbourhood. It is an expensive area, though

I would say that it depends on what your plans are during your stay. Karlaplan isn't that centrally located being in the north-east corner of the city. That being said, Stockholm is a walkable city and has also excellent public transportation. Karlaplan has its own subway stop (red line) which connects you to the rest of the city. One good selling point for that area is that you are in walking distance of both the history museum (Historiska) and the island of Djurgården where you will find Skansen, Vasa Museum and other attractions.
