Stockholm to Tallin or Helsinki

havenot been to neither Tallin or Helsinki. if one had to choose to go by ferry, what would be your choice. we adore old architecture and fine art museums. also which ferry provider would be best. we are middle aged so don't care for a party boat.

thanx

Tallink Silja is more suitable to a senior audience than Viking Line.

Tallinn has a medieval district, while Helsinki has more modern architecture.

The Helsinki trip goes through the Finnish archipelago, which is more scenic.

Having traveled to both Tallin and Helsinki within the past two years, I prefer Helsinki. I like the architecture, food and sightseeing. On the other hand I enjoyed Tallin. We traveled from Stockholm on the Silja Line to both cities. You can take a ferry to Helsinki, a high speed ferry from Helsinki to Tallin and ferry back to Stockholm so as to see both cities.

Enjoy
