picking up a light snack

Just curious..are there many places around downtown Copenhagen where you can just stop for a light lunch instead of a sitdown meal? I love to spend days just walking along the streets and neighbourhoods and I like to just stop at a supermarket and pick up some bread and cheese and just have a light snack during the day..and have my leisurely meal at night. ARe there alot of supermarkets/grocery stores around??

Thanks.

There are grocery stores and light snack shops all over the city. The following link may be helpful:

Alternatively you could do the Danish lunch thing and have smorrebrod (open sandwich on rye - with all sort of toppings). The most famous smorrebrod is found at Ida Davidsen, Store Kongensg, 70, Copenhagen but you'll find it served at plenty of cafes around the city.

Also there are many 7-eleven's around which all have a good selection of sandwiches, hotdogs, fresh bread etc....
