Staying in Copenhagen with kids

Hi,

We are a family with 3 kids planning to visit Copenhagen for a week on July.

Renting an apartment is the best way for us to enjoy our stay, and I'd be grateful to have your help choosing one. Is living in the center advisable or should we move out? I read previous posts regarding safe neighborhoods and the red light district, but would also like to know if living in the center won't be noisy or unpleasent at night. Does these apartments seem trustworthy to you. Are you familiar with Red Apple Apartments ? Any other advices?

Thanks,

Michal

Never heard of Red Apple Apartments.

Those you show do look quite expensive.

Have you looked on www.airbnb.com? That would be my first stop.

The city centre can be a bit noisy but there are many small streets that are very quiet.

Both look nice. One has a balcony, which is an advantage, and a more central location, yet in the pedestrian zone. The Kultorvet Square might be a bit noisy at night. The other is in the best Frederiksberg area, with a chance to explore that pretty and interesting district as well - including Frederiksberg Have, Carlsberg Brewery Visitor centre, and the nice streets of Værnedamsvej and Gammel Kongevej, for instance. It´s a 15 min walk to the centre though.

In my opinion, the best areas for a tourist to rent an apartment would be around the city centre (Indre By) part of the lakes, around Nansensgade or in Vesterbro.

Be aware that the area at the top of Istedgade near central station is the red light district. Although perfectly safe, you will see evidence if the associated activities so you may want to avoid if this would offend,
