Most hotels in Copenhagen are geared towards business travelers and couple.

That means small rooms with single beds pushed together as a double bed.

However one of the newer hotels - Tivoli hotel - bills itself as a family hotel also and have some themed rooms. They also have a play area on the lower level of the hotel.

The downside is, that it's a bit away from the very center of the city - it's about 10 minutes walk from the central station (and the amusement park it takes it's name from) and about 25 minutes on foot from Kongens Nytorv.

We've stayed at Scandic with our children, Scandic is very family-friendly and children don't have to pay extra. I can highly recommend it!

We've stayed once at the Scandic Front and once at the one near the station. The first is better situated, but the second a bit more spacious and therefore maybe easier with younger children.
