Places to see and eat in Copenhagen

My husband and I will be staying at the Marriott for 4 night before starting a cruise. Where would you suggest eating and sight seeing? We live in Florida.

Hi try this link:

aok.dk/byen-rundt/guide/visiting-copenhagen

Maybe you could tell us a bit about your age and interests, it's allways easier to advice people if you know what they are looking for..

Thank you for answering. We are a young 70's. We play golf and tennis every day and have no problem with walking. We spend three months in Europe every summer so traveling comes easy.

Thanks

Go check out Nyhavn and Tivoli. Take a canal boat trip and take a walk at Christianshavn. You could also go to Rosenborg castle or Kronborg and Frederiksborg Castle, the last two is located about an hour by train from Copenhagen.

Check this site for more sights: http://www.visitcopenhagen.com/

And then you should try the danish lunch speciality smørrebrød, there is a lot of good places but I recommend this one:

Restaurant Told og Snaps

Toldbodgade 2

1253 København K

http://www.toldogsnaps.dk/

Or this one in the northern part of Copenhagen, an area that is also nice for a walk, located close to the sea.

Værtshuset Sankt Peder,

Sankt Pedersvej 2,

2900 Hellerup

http://www.sankt-peder.dk/

Enjoy!

Thank you so much for your information.

I wonder if there is a market with antigues and collectables anywhere in Copenhagen?

I love shopping.

Thanks

Hi,

The street of Ravnsborggade in the city area of Nørrebro is known for its antique shops

The western part of Ryesgade on Nørrebro also has a number of antique shops worth visiting.

There is a huge place called "pjot" just outside Copenhagen. http://www.antikpjot.dk/

Happy shopping

Hi,

Depending on your budget and preferences I would suggest two places for dinner.

1) Madklubben at Store Kongensgade 66 in the City Centre. Nice decor, great and varied menu, 4 courses app 250 DKK. Has received great appraise from restaurant critics and requires prior reservation.

2) Saa Hvidt, at Snaregade (a quaint old street in the centre of Copenhagen). Also very nice design, fixed 5-course menu based on modern interpretations of classic Danish ingredients and culinary traditions. Fixed meal is somewhere around 350-400 DKK, you can choose the accompanying wine menu or make your own selection from the wine list. Also great appraise from food critics and requires prior reservations.

Both are definitely worth a visit.

Enjoy

I went to

- Skt. Gertrud´s Kloster-

it´s very nice. Only Candle light, the food was the best ever. Expensive though.

You start sitting in a special waiting room, looks like a liberay, having a before dinner drink.

To me it´s was very special.

Only one meal compares to that -

- Nørby Kro - at Fanø (an island out from Esbjerg on the south west coast.

Hope you´ll enjoy your vacation
