A Day in Copenhagen

We have a full day in Copenhagen (May 26th) from 8:00 am - 10:00 pm during our stop on a 12-day Baltic cruise. Can we do a walking tour of the city on our own from the pier? Do we need to get a private tour? There are 10 of us and we would like to see the city on a budget. Any recommendations?

you can definitely do a walking tour on your own, all you need is good shoes and a map!

if it was me I would definitely spend some time walking down stroeget, maybe spend some time at Rosenborg Castle and the Kongens Have (if the weather is good).

Eat at a café off Stroeget as it's cheaper or splurge and go have fabulous cake at La Glace on Stroeget.

You could take in a museum like Glyptoteket or Statens Museum For Kunst www.smk.dk ( museum of art).

there's tivoli to do, but you could also go to the zoo (www.zoo.dk) which is my favourite place to hang out in summer.
