How to decide between the slow or the fast ferry. Cost is not consideration.
Thanks for your reply.
After posting my query, I took some time time to study the ferry schedule and noticed that there is no scheduled passage for the slow ferry for the first 12 days of June when we will be traveling.
In addition to the very early a.m.(overnight) ferry, between June 13-19, the slow ferry leaves twice: Sunday @11:15 and Thurs @ 3:15. Then June 20-29 there are no slow ferries making the passage from Ystad (Sweden) to Ronne (Bornholm, Denmark).
Køge -> Rønne is normally considered the 'slow ferry', but it departs from a town south of Copenhagen. This is the slow ferry (an overnight trip) that I was referring to.
A few of the departures from Ystad take a little longer than the usual 1 hour 20 mins: 2 1/2 hours. The fast ferries are 'Leonora Christina' and 'Villum Clausen'.

It is likely that the slow ferry you mention is 'Hammer Odde', which also does the Rønne-Sassnitz/Germany and the Køge/Rønne routes and which will be sailing until the autumn of 2018, when it will be replaced with a new one. The fast ones will also be replaced with new models in the autumn of 2018.
