Athens to San Stefano Hotel in Pelion

Hi

Can anyone please make a suggestion we arrive i Athens late on 5th August and check in to

San Stefano Hotel on 9th August

Please advise on the following

is one full day enough in Athens (which gives us two nights)

if so I assume we would head to Volos and spend 2 nights in Volos.???? Then go onto to Pelion from there.

Would you advise to spend the extra night in Athens or Volos.????

You need a minimum of 2 full days in Athens to see the major sites, and preferably 3 if you want to visit some of the museums too. Why are you planning 2 nights in Volos? It is a pleasant town but has no special attractions, so if you have no specific reason for staying there, I would carry straight on to Tsangarada (I'm guessing you're heading for the San Stefano hotel there).

I'm assuming you will be driving, but if you are getting the bus from Athens, then I do recommend you hire a car when you get to Volos. You need a car to get around the Pelion peninsula to get to the beaches and explore the lovely mountain villages.

Please advise on Itinerary from Pelion to Macedonia / Montenegro???

After leaving Pelion we have two weeks before we have to

leave Greece/Macedonia to fly to Rome.

Do you have a suggestion for travel direction from Pelion? we are interested in

Macedonia / Monte Negro and need an airport from where to fly to Rome.

Stuck on this one.

Macedonia is in Greece, I assume you mean FYROM - be careful about this as it is a very sensitive issue. I recommend you start a new thread regarding this query.

By the way, it helps to say thank you for advice received, before firing off another question.
