Never been to any part of Greece. Fancy Koukounaries or Troulos. Only 2 of us - not interested in 18-30 type things - love the beach and snorkelling but want a little bit of night life. Going in September - will the sea be warm? Any info please. Anyone been to the Skiathos Palace Hotel or Alicia Studio apartments??

Skiathos palace hotel is lovely.

koukanaries beach is out of this world.

Skiathos townis reallycheap to get to, but is very cramped on bus adn takes about halfan hour. Woth it tho cos theres lots of pubs and lovely restaurants - we went to the sports bar and had every cocktail on the menu! (not the best idea - aviod B52's!)

Im sure youll have a great time, I know we did!

yep

have to agree about koukanaris beach, we stayed in koukanaris and got the bus into skiathos town in the evening, which was great as we always got a seat ! we went in September and the sea was beautiful and warm, we used to feed the fish in the sea, they would come up and take food out of your hand. i am sure you will enjoy it!

Dear Sylvbri,

Just got back from Koukounaries... fantastic but watch out for the wallet attack. Do not go to Troulos unless you want to be surrounded on the local beach by more Brits. We stayed in the Panos Apartments ( Manos ) which we can highly recommend, or Sergio's ( First Choice ) .. this has a pool. Don't use Koukounaries beach, use Maratha ( Bus stop 22 ) it is alot quieter. If you need more info please post again

Just got back on Wednesday (boo hoo!). Sea is still warm. So many different sort of beaches from nudist to party to deserted. Buses cheap and frequent, tons of places to eat almost everywhere. Boat trips cheap but the sea is getting a little more choppy now. Snorkelling off Castro beach like sticking your head in an aquairum!
