At last.

Many people say OSE ( National Train Service ) has been a huge mismanagement disco-party for more than 4 decades.

I really hope to see this black hole of money to get tidy and shut down where needed.

We sometime have to decide what kind of infrastructure we want for this part of Greece.

On a good highway, Kalamata can be a lot less than 3 hours. It seems that train may not be needed, especially when the lines are as old as from 19th century.

I'm certainly not going to defend the OSE, but the renovations of the central line from Piraeus , through Corinth and Tripoli to Kalamata , have almost been completed. Also the Messini/Kalamata branch was a useful local commuter line.

As in much of Greek government investment it has been lack of past supervision in the finances and manning of the railways, which has created problems.
