A resort like kassiopi but with sandy beach?

I have been trying to find a holiday for next September and can't seem to find anything that ticks all the boxes! Really like kassiopi but with 2 young children a sandy beach Is a must now. Basically looking for a Greek island resort similar to Kassiopi but with a sandy beach?! Does such a thing exist? Doesn't have to be Corfu will consider any Greek island really. We like harbour resorts not too tourist but with a few tavernas/bars (with sandy beach).

All suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have a look at San Stefanos (North West of Corfu island) or perhaps Arillas.

Moonpig's link will give a good feel for what is on offer.

Have fun choosing, Corfu is a beautiful island well worth a visit. That is why I go back every year....

We required the same, having loved Kassiopi but got fed up of sore feet. We chose Arillas and loved it:).

I require this too. We went to Kassiopi back in 2009 and im debating to go back for my honeymoon, or go elsewhere but similar. Just fancy somewhere romantic and somewhat secluded, with a similar village atmosphere..any ideas? If not, its back to Kassi!

I would second Arillas. Have a look at the Welcome to Arillas website.

I understand the attraction of Arillas, but it's not like Kassiopi. To find an enclosed harbour with a sandy beach is a bit of a challenge. Something like wanting a 'traditional tourist' village - they don't usually go together.

Try Agios Georgios North, quiet resort in a beautiful bay, lovely sandy beach,

only a couple of small hotels and a few tavernas and shops, no loud bars.

look at Costas Golden Beach Hotel. 42 rooms greek family owned.

a Thomson Hotel.

Why not look at Elounda, Crete, which has a lovely harbour complete with little fishing boats, two sandy beaches, fantastic tavernas and a traditional Greek welcome.

Elounda wouldn't be suitable if you want entertainment or "British/Irish theme bars, evenings are usually spent in the tavernas or few bars enjoying the night air and fantastic food.

It is also well situated for visiting that part of Crete, should you want to venture further afield

I'd recommend Parga on the mainland, harbour, sandy beach, very picturesque town, lot's of bars/tavernas etc, it does get very busy though in peak season.

Arillas, Agios Gordios (both without harbour though).

Petra on Lesbos (traditional working village, with lovely sandy beach)

Mastichari on Kos (traditional working village with harbour and port to go to Kalymnos for the day)

Kalives on Crete (traditional working town, with lovely sandy beach)

Elounda on Crete
