Eating and drinking at poolside

Hi can anyone help? If you were to stay at studios such as Mara where they don't have a pool bar so obviously don't supply food or drink,is it then acceptable for you to bring your own supplies to consume by the pool without upsetting anyone?

We stayed at the Mara a few years ago and it was fine to bring your own supplies to the pool. There isn't really an argument for not bringing things when there isn't a bar available. Must admit, it does work out cheaper if a little less social without the bar!

Yes I thought not really an arguement when they don't actually supply food and drink, but obviously we don't want to upset anyone by consuming our own food or drink bought from local bakery or supermarket, thanks very much for your help.
