The best 'Traditional Greek Restaurant' in Parga?

We love to eat traditional Greek food while we are on holiday. What is everyone's favourite Greek restaurant in Parga and what dish is your favourite?

Don't miss out on Tzimas, no sea view, (or pushy waiters come to that), just great food, wine and welcome, and local prices. Moussaka here for me. but ask whats best today. open all year round, not just in the season. Don't miss it.

We love Yannis, up the lane past Alfa hotel. Husbands favourite is lamb kleftico, & mine either moussaka or fish. Best house wine in town & really friendly people.

Looking forward to returning in May!

Hi Happyholidays

Impossible to choose one taverna, so many good ones. Tzimas was such a friendly place, so welcoming. Best dish of the two weeks was their mussel saganaki. It's up in the town.

Taverna Apagkio - delicious prawn saganaki, nice potatoes, not just chips.

Other favourites - La Barca, Dokos, Yannis, Perivoli, 5 Senses.

So wish we were going back this year.

Have a great time and don't miss the Yupiyo frozen yogurt place. Delicious and refreshing after your dinner!

As stated previously this is very subjective, but we tend to go for the traditional taverna's rather than those that are relying on their position to draw the punters and would have to say that Tzimas, Dokos, Apagkio, are all amonst our favourites and then we would try others depending on mood, all of these serve dishes without chips.

We haven't eaten at Yannis for a few years, because we felt rushed, must give it another chance, La Barca - similar. 5 Senses food excellent but not for us. Yet to try Perivoli, keep promising too then always finding ourselves going back to old favourites.

Hi, Also try the meeting place, where you will get a random Meze (small dish of food) with each round of drinks/drink. 3 drinks can be surprisingly filling. well worth a visit.

Hi Duncan,

Stand on the jetty facing the shops and look for a small alleyway between the shops, follow the alley to the end and your there.

New ones for us to try this year are Tzimas & Apagkio (where is it?) We have mixed views on Perivoli, went a few times first year as ataying at Rezi, & it was great. Next year very busy but felt staff were not as attentive. Following year gave it a miss. Will try again this year as staying at Dracos.

Great fish & view of Valtos from Stephanos. Great for meze Sodia on the front run by 3 brothers. So many........making my mouth water thinking of them all!
