Question about Symi travel in November

How much of Symi "closes down" for the season starting in November? I hope some of the ferries are still running at that time.

I've never been to Symi in November but ferries run all year round, though less frequent than in the summer months. The Panormitis Festival takes place around the first week in November, I think they sometimes put extra ferries on for that.

Have you booked accommodation yet? If not it might be worth contacting Symi Visitor http://www.symivisitor.com/

The ferries should indeed be OK with a little investigation of the ANES (anes.gr) and Dodek (12ne.gr) pages before you go. The flights to Rhodes, however, may be more difficult. It appears that Rhodes will have no international flights at all this winter. Check Andy Ward's latest flight news on

Rhodes does not have direct flights in winter.

Only reachable via Athens with Olympic & Aegean

A new airline Hellas, starts flights in January but its not clear if they will have direct flights to Rhodes
