Ferries will be very timeconsuming, and you will have to transfer besides the time it requires to get to the most convenient point of the transfer (most probably in Rhodes). The ferries go via Karpathos and Crete (Santorini is in another group of islands than Nisyros, Kos and Rhodes).
In season there is a flight connection between Rhodes and Santorini with Sky Express.
The flight is appr. 35 minutes. According to their web site, season starts in spring.
Do you know how long the ferry to Santorini takes and how much it costs vs the flight?
Easiest would be to take the ferry to Kardamena(Kos), and then fly Kos > Athens >Santorini. Any ferry route is long winded and several connections. The basic principle is to get to any Cycladic island and then down to Santorini.
Routes to Cyclades are roughly this, all are lengthy taking several days:
1) North to Samos then to Mykonos/Syros/Naxos/Paros.
2) South to Rhodes then direct Rhodes > Santorini, but only about 2x per week.
3) Nissyros > Astypalaea (1x/week), or Nyssiros > Kos (daily), then Kalymnos > Astypalaea, then Astypalaea > Naxos.
Thanks! How long does it take from Rhodes to Santorini?
