I don't know about food & drink, but I can confirm that good studios can be had for as little as €25 per night (a friend booked into the Hotel Asteri in Emborios this week).
I would like to know how much drinks an dmeal cost this year has we are going to kalymnos in sept.
many thanks Melanie
I am going in July/August will let you know when I get back before you go.
I returned from two weeks of island strolling in the Dodecanese (Rhodes, Symi, Lipsi, Leros) last week. My impression is that prices haven't changed for the last 3-4 years. In low season we still pay 25-40 euro for a studio, 2-4 euro for a beer or ouzo, 20-40 euro for a meal for two. Ferries, petrol and buses have been more expensive. Petrol is almost 2 euro a litre on the islands, a little less in Rhodes. Symi bus fare have risen from 1 euro to 1,30.
