Santorini - Greece

I wanting to rent a villa for 7 days in Santorini in mid-September 2014. 6 Adults. Which town, and any recommendations? We are all early 50's so not needing any of the "crazy" night life etc. Are really wanting to experience good food, beautiful views, semi-luxury, and a time to connect and do a small amount of sightseeing an a lot of R&R.

Here's a map of the island. Spend some time familiarising yourself with where the various villages are located.

The villages with a caldera view (overlooking the volcano) are Oia, Imerovigli, Firastefani and Fira. The last is the largest and is the transportation hub of the island. But you'll pay more for having a caldera view. Pygos also has its own charm.

If you play around with the Santorini Holiday Rentals section of TA and its filter system, you could find accommodation that fits your requirements.

Not knowing what your villa budget will be per day makes it a guessing game. In Oia you can stay in the 3-bedroom Villa Agis at Ifestio Villas for €450/day for 6 people.

http://www.booking.com also has a filter system so you can examine your choices village by village.
