Is the first week of April too cold to visit Santonini? Is it going to be completely "dead"?

no is not going to be completelly dead..and spring is a time that greek islands and the country general can be make you scream wow!flowers and nature just growing after the winter but it has to do with the weather that time...sometimes can be cold sometimes can be cool...so it has to do with your luck but for sure is not winter...but forget the swimming in the sea...for many people swimming in greek waters can be difficult even in start of june..the waters are extremely clean but you can feel cold..we are talking for europe continent; )

if you can go early may would be better but keep in mind that at the end of april take part the greek orthodox easter and it can be an unforgetable experience..the atmospere and the religion traditional events are really intersting even if you are not really in with religion and christainism..but for sure in may you can find better weather condtions and more lively places than april...
