Greece Honeymoon!

Hi,

Me & my Husband are planning our Honeymoon to Greece from Oct 27th.

Is it better to go from Athens-Mykonos-Crete-Santorini-Athens or Athens-Mykonos-Santorini-Crete-Athens?

Pls do let us soon as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance! :)

hi..if you only use ferrys to travel between the islands i would go for the first option, because the crete-athens ferry is very long and tiring(unless you book a cabin for some good sleep)..

otherwise,if you choose the second option fly from crete to athens,it's much easier and quicker

Neither, by that time of year better to go somewhere with a much larger local population and something to see. e.g.

Athens/Piraeus - Crete - Athens/Piraeus.

Or maybe Athens/Piraeus - Crete - Rhodes - Athens/Piraeus.

It's so late down that route you have quoted that direct ferries are limited on the Mykonos - Santorini, and Santorini - Crete legs.

Direct Mykonos/Santorini catamarans only run until 20 October, you will only be able to travel between these two islands with an overnight on Syros and a 10-hour journey on a slow conventional ferry. So if you want to make the transfer in one day you need to take a flight via Athens. Daily direct Santorini/Crete catamarans stop at the end of October. After that, it will be just one ferry per week. So again, either you plan along with that ferry's schedule or fly via Athens.
