how reliable are the catamarans?

I'm leaving Paros mid-August on the first catamaran of the day to Mykonos. I've only got one hour to get to Mykonos airport. Should I risk it and hope the catamaran is schedule or leave the day before? I've heard the catamarans are not so reliable when it windy....

Spend the last night on Mykonos. One hour simply isn't enough margin, considering you will have to find a taxi when you get to Mykonos. Other factors besides wind can cause a sailing to be delayed or cancelled. I've had two sailings of SeaJet 2 cancelled on me, both due to mechanical problems.

I agree - where sea transport is concerned, it's best to play it safe. Boats (ferries, catamarans etc.) are often delayed by up to an hour, even when there are no serious mitigating factors such as gale force winds and mechanical problems.
