Athens or Mykonos in late May?

If you had 8 full days to spend in Greece how would you divide it?

We are traveling in the end of May/early June.

DH and I have a wedding in Santorini, so we are trying to see how to spend the rest of our days either in Mykonos or jus day trip from Athens.

We are in our late 30's and we would love to relax on the beach, how's the weather like during this time of the year? Is 2 nights in Mykonos too rushy?!

I thought on some options;

- 3/4 nights Athens (with day trips) + 5/4 nights Santorini or

- 2 nights Athens (1 full day) + 2 nights Mykonos + 4 nights in Santorini.

Whats the best way to get to Mykonos from Athens? What about Mykonos to Santorini?

Since you will have already done expensive touristy Santorini I would skip Mykonos and visit Naxos instead.

If you decide to stay in Mykonos if you want a pretty , relaxing beach and a nice hotel ( not fancy but nice ) look at staying at Paranga Beach.. we stayed at the Zephyros hotel there and really enjoyed it.. there is a very cool nightclub within walking distance ( if you go along the beach) called Scorpios.. the sunset ritual is amazing.
