Well, how long's a bit of string? if you like good, local food but nothing pretentious, then reckon on paying about 15 euros per person for a starter, main course and half litre of house wine. Fish and shellfish costs much more and is sold by weight so if you order a plump mullet or sea bass, make sure you have a good idea of what it'll cost you to avoid a "surprise" when the bill arrives.

Needless to say, you can opt to visit a posher place and pay a lot more than 15 euros. Generally speaking, I'd avoid the places that advertise their menus with full colour photos outside as they cater primarily for the visitor and serve most meals with luke warm rice, overcooked vegetables and soggy chips. Explore the side streets and alleys and look for a place where the diners are speaking Greek, not just the waiters - you'll get better food at a cheaper price although you might have to sacrifice the view.
