War Memorial Cemetary

Helllo

We are due to fly to Crete in 2 weeks and are staying at Aghios Nikolaos, would we be able to get to the war memorial cemetary without hiring a car?

I agree - it is probably possible, but 8 hours on buses, even if they are big air-conditioned coaches...

If you do decide to go, make sure you visit the Maritime Museum at the western end of the harbour in Chania. The first floor there has a lot of exhibits and stories about the Battle of Crete.

Hi there

Another vote for staying a couple of nights in the Chania area :-) we visited the Cemetary and few years ago very moving experience, and of course Chania is beautiful
