I experienced that the timetables change to the winter timetable around mid september when schools start again.
So, this one should be quite like it will be end of september: https:/…
Nicksy, that is the current winter one with no buses at all on some days of the week. I'm pretty sure that there are buses every day till at least mid-October, maybe the beginning of November.
Here is one from 16th September 2016, which I think should give a better idea:
The page I got it from indicates that it may have been the same a month later (18/10/16).
Steve, they must have misinformed me then in Chania bus station when I was there mid September as they said they had already changed to the winterschedule. So, I presumed this was the one. apparently they have changed it again afterwards.
Anyhow the OP has a link where he can follow it up next year.Edited: 8:32 am, November 24, 2017
As long as the Samaria Gorge is open, which it will be at the end of September (barring heavy rain/other extreme weather conditions) there will be a bus from Sougia to Chania via Omalos. This has usually been at 8.45, as shown on both of Steve's links.
(Steve, thanks for the Archive link: very helpful! I've bookmarked it.)Edited: 12:57 pm, November 24, 2017
Many thanks for the advice folks - exactly what I needed.
