Ferry tickets

I hope someone can help me!!!

I'm trying to book ferry tickets from Piraeus to Naxos for June with Blue Star Ferries. I am travelling with my boyfriend and do not know which option to take. If I choose the cheapest one, "economy non smoking" the only option is berth/seat and it says:

"Berth/Seat: Passengers requesting berth in the selected cabin category, will be sharing the cabin with other passengers of the same gender."

Does this mean I can not sit next to my boyfriend?? We only need seats, no cabin. Or how does this work...?

Hopefully someone can help me with this!!! I appreciate any answer =)

Economy non smoking are chairs of your own choice inside astern. You may also have chairs outside on the deck, but there will most probably be many smoking.

Berths only apply if you book a cabin.

Hi,

None of that is applicable, it's only for cabins, that's why it's greyed out.

An Economy ticket, the cheapest ticket, means you just look around for an empty seat on deck or inside in the cafes or whatever. Of course these can be together, no problem.

Not necessary to book just buy tickets in the port, just ask for cheapest ticket on the Bluestar and you're done, no fussing.

In June, just buy tickets when you get to the port. The ferry will not be full. Even if you buy tickets in advance you will still have to go to an office to collect the tickets.

Hi!

Thank you all for your replies! This really helped me, because the hotel staff said I need to pre-book the tickets (coz June is hihg season) and for some reason it didn't get through when I tried via BlueStarFerries.

Now I can just relax and buy the tickets as we arrive to Greece :)

Only one week left, can't wait to get there, my 1st time in the country!

Just a thought: when exactly in June are you travelling, because on the Pentecost weekend the ferries will be busy.

From Piraeus to Naxos on the 9th, and back on the 15th!

June 9th is the Thursday before the Pentecost weekend. You should be OK, but if it were the Friday I would say that you should buy a ticket beforehand.
