Piraeus to Acropolis

I saw somewhere, and just cannot remember where, about the possibility of walking from a cruise ship to a metro station, and travelling by metro to the Acropolis. Is this possible? If so, could someone please tell me the name of the metro stations at Piraeus and the Acropolis, and can I presume that there will be some signage in English? Will be there on Tuesday 1st October. Would be grateful for any information, thank you.

Here you can see the walk in the opposite direction (metro to cruise ship - the metro here is the terminal):

For Acropolis you can choose between Thission, which means going up the Apostolou Paulou pedestrian street, or go to Omonia and change to the red line in direction Elliniki - three stops to Acropolis station.

This is the walk from Acropolis station - ending in Thission:

You will find signage in English letters (look in the albums above).

Hi,

You can also take a bus (843) from the cruise ship terminal to the Piraeus metro station.

It is possible, but I would prefer a taxi. It is a 20 min walk from the cruise pier to Pireus metro station. You find it across the street from the Blue Star ferries, look for the pedestrian bridge. You need to change metro line to end up at Acropolis station. You find a metro map at www.athensguide.com
