Things to do

We will be visiting Porto as part of our cruise and will only be there a few hours. Advice please on the best way to see the city.

Your cruise will almost certainly dock at the port of Leixões, which is a few km outside the city - do check though. The Porto metro (trams) run from there into the city centre. A one day pass would get you on all trams and buses. Porto is very hilly, so take a good pair of shoes. Many of the places visitors like to go are in quite a small area however.

Is there a possibility to get the PortoCard in advance (by internet or by mail)?

We are arriving on the cruise terminal and it seems practical to use it from there to go in the centre.

I did not see a selling point at the cruise terminal in the list given on the site.
