Real milk

My partner hates UHT milk and, being partial to a cup or two of tea in the morning, we would like to know what the Portuguese is for real or proper cow's milk.

If anyone knows could they reply by private message as this will then show up in my e-mail inbox.

We fly out tomorrow at 7.30am

We had UHT milk on our tea tray in our room but we also hate it .However , we were able to buy fresh milk in the supermarket (refridgerated). We had a fridge in our room so it was fine .Sorry ,don't know what the Portuguese is for fresh cow's milk .

Thanks everyone for prompt replies. We will have a fridge, too, so if the hotel doesn't have fresh milk at breakfast we can take our own down or nip down early, make a cup and take it back to our room.

I see that forecast temperatures for our first week (and those others travelling on Monday) is 75-76 deg F. Taxi due at 4.30am to take us to Luton Airport - can't wait.

Leite fresco gordo = full fat milk, meio gordo = semi-skimmed, magro = skimmed. Fresh milk is hard to find in smaller shops, and sometimes you will have to hunt for it in supermarkets. For example it is kept on the delicatessan counter of Pingo Doce in The Anadia Centre rather than the dairy section.
