Sintra - One day or two?

We will be in Lisbon the end of May and want to visit Sintra, mainly to see the Pena Palace and the National Palace. Should we stay overnight in Sintra, or is one day plenty of time?

Thank you.

I think one entire day is enough and you don´t need to stay overnight, as the (very frequent) train from Lisboa (best station while Rossio is closed is Sete-Rios, also served by Metro) takes only about half an hour.
