Hotel near Lisbon airport

Hello all

We (2 of us) are on our way to The Azores next week and need a room to sleep in for one night only. Unfortunately we don't have time, on this occasion, to explore Lisbon any further.

It doesn't look like there are any hotels in the aiport but can anyone recommend one very nearby? A not-too-expensive, clean, safe place is all we are looking for as we will only manage to grab about 6 hours sleep between flights.

Thank you.

The Lisboa airport is inside the town, so choose one in the centre that fits your needs. If your flights are at late or early hours, as it seems from what you are saying, a taxi will take about 15 min, and at least you will see something of Lisboa.

Thank you both for your advice. We decided to go with Capitoa's suggestion as we really don't know what constitutes the "centre" in Lisbon. It's our first time here - albeit a flying visit this time. Hope we can see more soon!

Thanks again both.
