It's a seaside town, with lots of people at the beaches, but it's also a town where people live all year round so with everything needed for that.

Cascais is a holiday seaside town, so will be quite busy in July with tourists from a range of countries. July isnt as busy as August, when most Portuguese are on holiday. Given the closeness to Lisbon it is quite a popular place to live or stay on holiday.

Within the town there are a lot small beaches (in easy access) or you can head out further towards Guincho beach. The weather that time of year tends to be hot and sunny. The sea is quite cold due to being on the Atlantic. There are all the amenities you would expect of a reasonable large town, also you are only 30 mins on the train from Lisbon. There is quite a lot to do and see in the area, or you can just relax. Lots of choice of restaurants.

We lived there for two years and still go back on holiday as we love it.
