Grande Real Villa Italia or Senhora Da Guia, Cascais

Hi we are going to Lisbon for a couple of nights followed by 3 nights in Cascais (going to Moto GP). The majority of our 3 days in Cascais will be spent at the track but at our hotel we would like a swimming pool and relatively easy access to bars and fine restaurants. I have narrowed it down to these 2 hotels who both seem to get very reviews. The Senhora is the cheapest by almost £200. Can someone advise me which hotel would suit us the best please.

Thanks in advance.

I stayed in Grand Real villa and it was absolutely fabulous.I would have no problems recommending it but if your going to be out most of the time it might be a waste.I dont know the other hotel but I stayed in The Baia as well and its a great hotel. Its right in the centre surrounded by bars and restaurants all only a stones throw away and it has a roof top swiming pool.If you were to consider staying here try to get a sea view room they have lovely litle balconies to sit out and look over Cascais.

Hi Doownelg

Thanks for the info. Hotel Baia sounded just what we were looking for but typical, its totally sold out. Are there any others in the centre that you could recommend?

Senhora da Guia is quite far out from the centre! so no bars etc near by... Its close to some excellent restaurants, but nothing else!

Hi Pipa

Thanks for letting me know that. Can you recommend a hotel similar to Hotel Baia then which would be handy for bars/restaurants during the evening?

hi, the Villa Gale and also the Farol or Miragem are much closer to town than Senhora. The Albatross is also in the middle of town.Checkout bookings.com with your dates, will show nearly vall the main Cascais/Estoril hotels plus location on map.

Checkout Hotel Palacio in Estoril, have some good rates at present. Stayed here a few years ago,its a lovely hotel opposite Estoril Casino. Also staying in Estoril gives the chance to walk along the lovely promenade to Cascais ,takes about 30 mins but a lovely seafront walk.Numerous restaurants near the Palacio + restaurants inside the casino. Just a suggestion as an alternative.
