Lagos - post Christmas

Thinking of spending a few days away here after Christmas and wondering if anyone who has been there at the same time other years could comment on weather, shops/restauarnts open etc. Thanks

Luckily Lagos is a working town so it never really shuts. Bars and restaurants and shops will still be open, albeit not all of them all of the time, it tends to be January and February when they take time to close down for holidays. You do find that the town is quieter but there are still folks out and about.

As for the weather it can be very kind to you during the day but definately a bit on the chilly side of an evening when the sun goes down and be prepared if it does rain because it does get very heavy but usually short lived.

If you are still in Lagos at New Year there is a firework display on the beach at midnight for 15 minutes and the town is decorated with "Blackpool" style lights all over Xmas and New Year.

Hope you enjoy your stay.

If you need any more info let me know
