pre historic monuments

I know that Evora is a UNESCO site and there are many interesting buildings to see in the city. I am even more interested in the prehistoric sites in the surrounding countryside. I have had the opportunity to see anything like them and am wondering how I would get to them??

Are their tours/taxis available in Evora?

The day tours from Lisbon only seem to mention the churches/monasteries etc. inside the town.

It´s available to visit Almendres, by taxi or by tour. But I advise you to contact www.visitevora.pt

Thankyou for the web site. I don't see mention of the prehistoric sites there.

Perhaps I missed it because my Portuguese is not good and am relying on my Spanish/French to help me read it.

Hi!

Try www.portugalbestcycling.com

there you have cycling tours to the megalithic sites, and also jeep safari, half day. They also run a great guest house in a farm
