Train from Lisbon to Loule

We will be traveling in Portugal early January, 2012. We are considering flying into Lisbon & taking the train from Lisbon to Loule. Which train station is closest to the airport?

Take the aerobus to Lisboa-Oriente train station. There you'll have trains to everywhere.

Be aware that the railway station at Loulé is about 3 miles from the town. Taxis are available.

Train times and reservations (which are compulsory) at www.cp.pt and you will get the site in English if you click on the little icon at the top of the page where it says 'Acesso Rapido'.

When you buy a ticket on line you must be able to print it. The site will ask for ID eg passport number when you make a booking.

There are five direct trains every day.

BTW rede-expressos and renex mentioned above are bus lines, not trains.

Renex use the bus station at Gare Oriente, next to the railway station and the closest to the airport. Rede-Expressos use the Sete Rios bus station, which is several miles away across the city.
